Description
The Hoyden is a lovely 57’ cruiser stern narrowboat built by the well regarded Aqualine in 2006. She was last blacked in August 2025, surveyed in July 2025, and an engine service in summer 2024. She has also just had the BSS done, so thats good for 4 more years! She is fitted out in oak faced ply and oak tongue and groove, with oak flooring throughout, to the standard expected of Aqualine boats. Although she is in need of an external repaint, the internal fit out shines through, and this work has been factored into the asking price. The cratch covered well deck is 4’0” with lockers all around, and a folding table for al fresco dining. The 500L stainless steel water tank is housed below. Steps lead down through glazed forward doors, into the 15’3” saloon. There are 2 arm chairs with matching footstools, a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, Hitatchi 32” smart TV/DVD, and a range of cupboards and shelves for storage. The armchairs could easily be replaced with a comfortable sofa bed if an extra berth is required. The 11’0” galley follows, with granite worktops, stainless steel sink, 2 seat breakfast bar, 12v LEC fridge, New World oven & grill, 4 burner gas hob, microwave, and heaps more storage. A starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air. Next is the 7’1” off-corridor bathroom, with a triangular tiled shower cubicle with frosted door, ceramic wash basin, and a Sanimarin macerator pumpout loo. The toilet can be emptied via a traditional pumpout, or into an Elsan via clever plumbing to portable cassettes. The 10’9” bedroom follows, with a cross bed double, 2 single wardrobes, and above head cupboards. The aft steps house a twin tub washing machine under, and lead out onto the cruiser stern deck. The Isuzu 35 engine is housed below. A pram cover keeps this protected from the elements. She is centrally heated by a Webasto diesel system connected to 3 radiators and a towel rail, and hot water is via the Webasto or engine. 12v power is supplied by 4x 110ah domestics with a separate starter, topped up by 3 solar panels with an Aeca MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is supplied by a Victron Phoenix 1.2kva inverter/charger or landline hookup. Lighting on board, including under the gunwhales, is LED throughout. A stunning boat, ready for immediate cruising!
