UK: Albert No 3 70ft Thomas Bantock Richard Hurley Trad 1877

Description

Albert No.3 is a 70ft traditional narrowboat, originally built by Thomas Bantock around 1877 as an open day boat for the Birmingham Canal Navigations Company. In 1984, the vessel underwent major conversion works by Richard Hurley of Oldbury Boat Services, bringing her into her present form. Powered by a Marine Kelvin J3, dating from 1955 and originally installed in a fishing trawler, Albert No.3 retains a strongly traditional character while offering a generous open living space. The layout would suit residential use or extended cruising.
