She is of carvel construction with an oak hull and operates by sail alone. During her long life she has not strayed far from her place of birth. She was the Tollesbury and Mersea Native Oyster Company foreman's smack and as the company's largest vessel, apprentices would have servced their time on her. She has also spent time as a Watch Smack and a Police Smack. She was restored at St Osyth boatyard between 1999 and 2004 and was completely rebuilt using oak. Engine(s) & Electrical: None. Accommodation & Below Deck: 5 berths, 3 cabins, 5’ headroom, plywood flooring, spirit stove heating, Blake sea toilet, spirit-fueled cooker, coolbox. Deck & Canvas: Capstan winches, anchor locker in the forepeak, barrel anchor windlass, mainsail cover, overall cover. Navigation & Safety: Magnetic compass, navigation lights, clock, barometer, foghorn, lifebouy, 12v bilge pump, manual bilge pump.
