A BIG LITTLE SHIP Here is my 55 ft by 15.5ft by 7 ft draft weighing 38 ton complete .This boat was vandalised a few years ago and shotblasted /primed but needs some hull and superstructure welding ,about 20 square feet on the hull .It looks bad but most of it is sound and needs a fresh blasting with proper paints , It is lying ashore in Birkenhead Merseyside built by Mc Tay Marine in Bromborough around 1974 as a trawler style yacht with very large accomidation ,tardis like . It had up to 12 berths in 4 cabins and a large deck saloon with a proper galley with commercial cooker and grill also two bathrooms one forward and the other aft also 2 mess rooms Now completly empty ready to refit to your own layout. the bridge has wings like a bigger ship . It was fitted with hydraulic steering and a anchor winch forward with a capstan aft ,all the railings are stainless steel with teak cappings ,the decks are also teak but in poor condition engines were cummins 470 v8,s 185 hp NOW REMOVED . all the windows are aluminium and partly reglaysed ,The interior has been vandalised and needs refurbishing ,You will probably have to spend about £10 to 15,000 on the refurb ,but at the end of it the value will be probably about £100,000or more I am open to serious near offers or cheap part exchange or WHY? ring me for further info Barrie. I have owned the :Sterling Steel : for over 40 years and it is a shame that I havnt had time to do the work myself because I also have several other projects on the go and im getting older This will be a great live aboard and also a good charter diving/fishing boat
