Roma is built on a 2008 shell by Colecraft, with the fit-out completed by the first owner, Richard Nelson, and launched in 2011. At 70ft in length, the boat offers a layout well suited to residential use. The accommodation is arranged in a reverse configuration, with the bedroom located in the forward cabin, a walkthrough shower room, saloon midships, and the galley and utility area positioned toward the aft, leading through to the engine room and out to the traditional stern. The shower room is fitted with a quadrant shower, composting toilet and washbasin, with hot water supplied via a Kabola diesel combi boiler. The galley and utility space include an under counter fridge, separate freezer, gas oven and grill with a separate five burner hob, and a washing machine. Dining is at the breakfast bar in the utility area. Central heating is provided by the diesel combi boiler feeding radiators and a towel rail, with additional warmth from a solid fuel stove in saloon. 230V power is from a choice of three sources – a Dometic Travel Power 3.5kW engine driven generator, a Victron Multiplus 3kW inverter/120A charger or the landline, with solar panels trickle charging the batteries.
