1/7th share in a very well equipped and maintained Westerly Fulmar. Berthed in Largs Yacht Haven , Firth of Clyde . New on the market, Annie J is a well presented bilge keel version of the popular Westerly Fulmar. The boat is syndicate owned and as a result of the planned retirement of one of our longest serving members an opportunity has arisen to purchase a 1/7th share. This will entitle the member to 4 weeks sailing per calendar year, with members selecting their weeks through a system of rolling choice. All ongoing costs are paid from the syndicate budget, to which members pay £125 per calendar month. This covers all berthing fees (at the home berth), maintenance and insurance. The boat is pontoon berthed in the superb Largs Yacht Haven which gives easy access to the Firth of Clyde and Western Isles. Largs is well connected by train and road to the rest of the UK. Membership of the syndicate allows members full access to all of the marina facilities, including secure car parking. Syndicate members sail locally in the Firth of Clyde and have made several recent trips to the Outer Hebrides and Northern Ireland. She sails extremely well and is very seaworthy and easy to handle even in strong winds. The members of the syndicate carry out a comprehensive inspection and maintenance programme each winter, when the boat is lifted out, ensuring that boat is in first class mechanical order. All essential equipment is serviced to meet accepted good practice and safety requirements. Specialist jobs are subcontracted to specialist marine engineers or suppliers. The Syndicate has a treasurer, secretary & maintenance coordinator and has an AGM to discuss everything related to the boat. The syndicate members are very friendly and support each other with sailing and shared maintenance tasks. It is expected that any new member of the Syndicate is a proficient and competent sailor, qualified to RYA Day Skipper level and willing to contribute to the annual maintenance programme. The yacht has benefitted from several recent upgrades: • New anchor windlass and associated electrics in 2018 • New mainsail in 2017 • New Genoa in 2018 from Saturn Sails • New fridge compressor in 2018 • New alternator and heat exchanger in 2025 • New exhaust elbow in 2025 • New VHF radio and aerial in 2020 • New soft furnishings in 2020 • New diesel heater in 2026 • New fenders in 2025 • New Beta control panel in 2025 • New charts in 2025 • New 2.7 m inflatable tender in 2023.
