Description

The vessel described by this Outline Specification and accompanying Drawings is a twinscrew, ship-assist and general purpose tug with double-chined, steel hull. The vessel is equipped with a heavy duty swivelling tow hook. A single heavy duty tow bitt is fitted at the bow along with a single anchor windlass with double chain tackle and double warping drum. Single fire-fighting monitor is mounted atop the wheelhouse. The perimeter of the vessel is heavily fendered for ship handling. Propulsion is by two identical high-speed marine diesel engines, each driving through a reverse- reduction gearbox to a solid propeller located in a thrust-augmenting nozzle aft.
