Very reluctant sale after significant investment in return for some fabulous times The Sarum 28 is a sturdy aluminium sailing yacht designed by Robert Tucker and built by BACO Aluminium in the late 1970s. Known for being sturdy and capable in various sea conditions. Owners have cruised them extensively around the British Isles. The interior layout gives 4/5 berths in 2 cabins, with scope to convert to 5/6 berths. A galley, chart table, drop-leaf saloon table, hanging locker and separate heads completes the layout and over 6ft headroom is enjoyed in the main cabin. This boat has been repainted and refurbished in recent years, with engine serviced and maintained, giving a fine example which is ready to sail and cruise. She has also been successful in racing at her home club, and performs very well, her aerofoil keels giving good performance to windward. Mainsail and Genoa only 3yrs old. LED lighting means low battery draw. 2 batteries, both in good condition. Dripless seal and recently replaced cutless bearing, heads holding tank, bilge pump with auto float switch, manual bilge pump, main and spare anchor, both Delta type, full set of fenders and warps, boat hook, emergency bolt croppers, fire extinguishers, electronic flare, Personal Locator Beacon, spare fuel can, shore power cables, ensign etc. and an inflatable 4-person dinghy. There is a swivel mount for chartplotter and logs to enable use whilst in the cockpit, a removeable cockpit table and new cockpit seating. There is a Garmin GPS and a waterproof radio with USB and jack sockets for music, with speakers in the main cabin as well as cockpit. VHF radio also has speaker in the cockpit. Raymarine tiller pilot, ash tiller with tiller extension and furling genoa make singlehanded sailing easy.
