1972 Contessa 26 for sale in UK

1972 Contessa 26. Powered by a 1gm10 engine. Standing rigging replaced in 2023, foresail furler removed and bearings replaced last month as was stiff (now perfect!), engine had new exhaust elbow plus water pump 2024. Other recent works - new wind instrument, new VHF (with AIS) and antenna. New onwa chart plotter networked to the VHF for AIS. Solar panel on foredeck. Old metal framed windows removed and replaced with bonded 10mm tinted acrylic windows as the old ones were leaky - I haven't disposed of them though in case a new owner might prefer to have them resealed and refitted. Engine seacocks changed in 2023. Invoices for all the above work available. Last out of the water late summer last year. Antifouled with micron - so top quality. There is a nice little charcoal heater fitted which is good in the winter when moored up. The cooker is meths (there is no gas on board). Oh and I recently revarnished her interior wood with international woodskin. I advertised her last year locally but wanted to keep sailing her so took the ad down. She sails well and is very sea kindly, easy for single handing but too small for my family. We have another boat (a catamaran, so much better for the kids), so it is unrealistic and indulgent for me to keep her any longer really. All in all a good little boat that I am sure will bring someone joy. I am open to sensible offers on the price. She is on the hamble and we can do viewings by arrangement. Sold as seen, where she is.
