Torqueedo electric outboard with separate solar panel charger for on board voyaging or plug into the mains to charge. Integrated battery, equivalent to a 3hp petrol outboard but quieter, lighter and environmentally friendly. On board computer with GPS shows remaining range. Maximum run time at slow speed, 1.5 - 2 knots, is reported to be 10½ hours. Good for dinghies, inflatables and daysailers up to 1½ tons. At 5 knots reported to last half an hour before recharging or install the solar panel for trickle charging.
