Stargazer is a beautifully presented 60ft cruiser stern narrowboat, built by the highly respected Calcutt Boats in 1996. She has been owner fitted out and lovingly maintained, offering a superb ready-to-go 3-berth liveaboard with everything you need to make life on the water comfortable, warm and self-sufficient. INTERIOR The interior is finished throughout in attractive pine cladding with spray foam insulation, making for a bright, quiet and cosy living space all year round. The layout features a stunning fixed king-size bow bedroom with generous under-bed storage and wide hopper-style aluminium windows framing lovely waterside views. A side hatch (duck hatch) in the bedroom provides handy access and excellent ventilation. A dedicated desk workspace sits adjacent, perfect for remote working with a view. The saloon is warmed by a Morso Squirrel multi-fuel stove, and Webasto diesel heating with stylish radiators throughout ensures year-round comfort. SECOND BEDROOM A well-appointed second bedroom — currently set up as a children's room with a single cabin bed, generous under-bed storage, and a full-height IKEA Kallax-style shelving unit — could easily be converted to additional storage, a home office, or hobby space to suit the new owner's needs. GALLEY The well-equipped galley includes a Thetford cooker with oven and grill, a Beco 4-burner hob, an Inlander 12V fridge with freezer compartment, a fully integrated Hoover H-DISH 700 dishwasher, and a washing machine. The 800-litre fresh water tank features a built-in water filter and is fed via a Shurflo pump. BATHROOM The bathroom features a separate shower cubicle with Whale Gulper pump, a compost toilet, and a vanity basin — a practical and eco-friendly setup ideal for liveaboard life. ENGINE & SYSTEMS Stargazer is powered by a BMC 1.8 four-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine, fitted to a PRM 160D3 gearbox with integral skin cooling. The 300-litre diesel tank gives excellent range. Electrical systems are well-specified: a 1,800W Victron inverter, 240V shore power with Sterling 30-amp battery charger, 12V and 240V throughout (4 x double sockets and 1 x single), and two 245W solar panels with Epever controllers for off-grid capability. Batteries comprise 1 starter and 3 x 12V 100Ah leisure batteries. LED 12V lighting throughout. ROOF DECK & GARDEN One of Stargazer's most unique and charming features is her roof deck garden. A dedicated lawned area with stepping stone path sits alongside a decked walkway, all bordered by raised planter boxes filled with flowers, herbs and vegetables. The safety fencing folds flat when needed — ideal for passing under low bridges — making this a truly practical as well as beautiful outdoor living space. An outstanding feature rarely found on a narrowboat. EXTERIOR & CERTIFICATES The hull plates to 8/6/4mm specification. The hull was professionally blacked in September 2023. The Boat Safety Scheme (BSS) certificate runs until 13 November 2029 — giving the new owner years of peace of mind. The cruiser stern is fitted with a pram cover and recently replaced PVC windows. CRT licence number 51544. Currently moored in Warwickshire.
