MacGregor 26M SI – 2004 – 50 hp Yamaha – Twin Axle Trailer - 26ft - 6 berth A lovely example of the Macgregor 26m SI – 2004. I purchased Symphony in April 2024 and carried out a number of works listed below. I caught the sailing bug and have purchased a larger vessel hence the reason for the sale. Symphony is ready to be launched and enjoyed immediately this season by the new owner. Symphony has provided 2 very happy sailing seasons for me and the family and will be missed. I believe I have priced her sensibly for a quick sale. All paperwork present including former bill of sale, VAT paid, service records, build certificate and even the owners manual. Kept out of the water on the trailer in the park and ride at Brightlingsea, Essex. Description. The MacGregor 26 M is the final version of these ever popular trailer Sailers, offering a useful combination of sailing, high speed motoring with the 50hp Yamaha which can tow a skier, spacious open plan accommodation and built in buoyancy for added safety. A water ballast system allows for good sailing ability for their type but keeps the trailing weight low, making them easily towed behind most family saloons if desired, they are a truly versatile and economical family boat! The lifting keel and low draft (min 1ft) make East coast sailing particularly accessible. Recent expenditure during my ownership include: 2 x new batteries – Jan 2026 (to be fitted when re-commissioned from winterisation) Winterised & work – Jan 2026 - including corrosion guard, re grease. Engine starter relay also replaced. (Cost of above £720 inc batteries and re-commissioning which will be done for the new owner / start of this season) New Sail bag (black to match colour scheme) Minor sail repair, new batterns – April 2025 (£435) Jan 2025 – New trailer bearings and seal sets. (NB, brakes were removed as the trailer is used for launching, new horseshoe brake kit needed before legal road trailering) Jan 2025 – Full Engine service – including carb removed and ultrasonic clean completed overhaul with new floats, jets and seal sets, replaced fuel pump. New engine oil. And winterised. Jan 2025 – Control lever, removed, stripped, cleaned re greased. Corroded terminals cleaned. Jan 2025 work cost (£1,715) June 2024 – Hemple and Hard racing Antifoul applied to hull, centre board and rudders in black.
