I am selling a 50% (or 100%) share ownership of my Norfolk Oyster, a gaff-rigged traditional Norfolk sailing boat located in Morston near Blakeney, North Norfolk. These boats are very rare to market and cost approximately £40,000 new. Alternatively I will consider selling 100% share for £13000 Tel 07545501763 Over the last two years, she has had her main mast and boom re-varnished, and this year had a topside polish. Each year she has been taken out of the water in late September, anti-fouled, and put back in the water, usually around May. I have a mooring that I rent from Neil Thompson's Boatyard in Wells, Norfolk. The running costs of this boat are approximately £400-1000 per year and £300 for the mooring split. She has a brand new long shaft outboard motor. I am looking for a keen sailor who appreciates this type of boat and will take good care of her as a shared ownership. Meeting all expenses 50/50. Most of the work I needed to have done on her has now been completed. Given that I have spent £1,500 this year, this is a very cheap buy-in. There will be an additional £150 for the mooring. I also keep her in a boat yard in the winter, which is approximately £46 a month. I'm looking at a boat share because I cannot get up to Norfolk as much as I used to, so it would be good to share the responsibility of sailing her and checking her on her mooring. Most of the sailing is done within the estuary leading out to Blakeney point and sailing on the tide for 3-four hours. It is a stunning location for a sailing. I’m also keen to take her to other estuaries off North Norfolk. With another person, it would be easy to take her to Wells next the Sea for an adventure. And I often take her down to Cley Mill. I am a competent sailor and can usually handle her very easily on my own, but it's good to sail with two people, especially on a spring tide.
