A 13 Foot Dell Quay Dory in amazing original condition. Original Gel Coat - never painted. Original Trailer and Cover both in very good used condition with a brand new spare wheel wheel and tire. Seats in minty original varnish and have never been revarnished! 40 HP 2 Stroke engine very original minty under the original cowl (Engine cowl is a bit faded and scuffed as would be expected but its never been painted and has the original decals still. Carb just serviced and jets polished. Garaged all of its life apart from a few holiday outings, in general for 2 weeks a year but it has very little use in the past 12 years. If you want an amazing original Dory with amazing original Gel Coat that has had a very easy and hardly used life then this is it. It totally flies with its original and very minty 40HP Suzuki DT 2 stroke. The hull has never taken on water through damage so it is still nice and light, unlike some, and on a calm sea you will put most RIBs to shame cos it flies on the plane with it's cathedral hull plus its cheap to run too! It is the same boat the Harbour Masters in Salcombe have used for decades - now that says something! If this was a classic Ford Escort MK 1 it would be the one everyone wanted and in a similar way, it is always very much admired like all great classics when launching her or on the water. Like it's been locked away in a time capsule somewhere, which it actually has. I love this boat so much that I've garaged it for the last 12 years at a cost of £ 1400 per year knowing I'll never find one better. But that really adds up! At 60 having just had a new baby boy some things have sadly got to go. Dory's were the first boats I drove from the age of about 13 years old when I helped on rescue duty at Shustoke Sailing Club. You might have seen this very boat about a decade ago in Salcombe but it came to London after I split with my partner and has been out on the Thames just a few times since. But washed off and garaged after each outing of course. I fitted new steering cables before its last outing. So the steering is super nice and smooth too. Ready to find a good new home. Hull and Engine numbers all present of course, the engine plate still has the original thin cellophane covering on it's had that little use! Perfect working condition both hull engine and trailer and ready for your own adventures. Engine always flushed after use and carb drained.
