Ashley was built in 1988 by Silver end Narrowboats of Brierley Hill, West Midlands. Featuring a magnificent diesel Lister engine, she is currently set up to operate from shorepower on her berth at Aquavista's wonderful Packet Boat Marina. She also features solar power which independently powers her sockets and lighting throughout the year. However, an invertor and domestic batteries could easily be installed for extended cruising. She has a Traditional design and layout below and, thanks to her 70' length, a simply cavernous interior. Entering from the bow, with it's good sized bow deck, gives immediate access to the large saloon and expansive kitchen. As one would expect, storage space abounds in a boat of this size and her kitchen is fitted with an oven and grill, fridge with freezer compartment and more than ample worktop areas, either side of the boat. A multifuel stove in the saloon provides heating. Moving further towards the stern is the bathroom with compact bath and shower above, cassette toilet and basin with vanity unit. Further towards the stern is a flexible room, currently fitted with a raised bunk bed, which could easily be converted into a second double bedroom or office. The magnificent Lister diesel engine is situated between the bedrooms and the rear master bedroom, or owner's cabin, features a double bed and gives access to the rear deck helming position.
