Timolisa is a robust, centre-cockpit wheelhouse Neptunian 33 ketch, designed by the esteemed naval architect Alan Buchanan the hull and deck was moulded to Lloyds A100 by Tyler Mouldings and the interior fitted out to a luxury specification by Johnson, Sons and Jago Ltd and old established yard at Leigh on Sea in Essex. Renowned for its heavy-duty GRP construction and traditional long keel, this vessel is an exceptional offshore cruiser, offering stability and predictable handling in heavy weather. We are the third owners of Timolisa since she was new and have owned her since March 2003 She was originally commissioned in 1972 and named by the original owner after his children Tim and Lisa. She spent the first 20 years on the South Coast. In 1986 she was taken to Berthons Boatyard where the lower hull was stripped and epoxy coated at a cost of £5,600! Her second owner, who was also a Hardway Sailing Club member, lived aboard her in the Mediterranean for 4 years and transited the French canals before she was extensively refitted over a 3 year period at Quay Lane Boatyard in Gosport being relaunched in April 2002. Timolisa has massive fuel and water capacity which suits long term cruising. Timolisa has just been cleaned and the hull antifouled (March 2026) ready for the new season. 1. Mechanical & Electrical Systems Engine: Perkins 4108 (47HP) diesel inboard. The engine was craned out and refurbished in 2000 and has been annually serviced since. New fresh water pump fitted in March 2026 Drive: Shaft drive to a 3-blade fixed propeller. Fuel Capacity: 454 Litres / 100 gallons stored in two fiberglass fuel tanks molded to the hull on port and starboard sides outboard of the engine. Water Capacity: 550 Litres / 120 gallons in fiberglass tank which sits low down in the boat above the encapsulated long keel. Batteries: 2 lead acid batteries on the starboard side adjacent to the engine. 1 engine start and 1 domestic. 115 Ah each, charged via engine alternator or shore power Shore Power: 240v shore power connection provides hot water via calorifier as well as additional internal saloon 240v lights and power sockets and battery charging. 3. Mast, Rigging & Sails Rig Type: Bermudan Masthead Ketch. Spars: Alloy masts and booms, by Sparcraft. Stainless rigging. Mainsail: Slab reefing in good condition with lazyjack sail cover Genoa: Fully refurbished (2022 with new sacrificial strip) and equipped with a rotostay furling system. Mizzen: New 2018. Additional sails: Spinnaker with Spinnaker pole, Mizzen Staysail, Storm Jib Rigging: Standing mast head running rigging with high quality Norseman terminals. Winches: 2 x Lewmar primary sheet winches and halyard winches on masts. 4. Accommodation & Interior Timolisa offers a spacious, traditional interior often finished in mahogany, sleeping up to 6 across three cabins. Forward Cabin: V-berth with infill to create a double; ample locker storage. Saloon: Large dinette table with adjacent seating. The table drops down to convert to a large double berth. Aft Cabin: Unique separate aft cabin (accessible via cockpit) with two single berths and dedicated shower and hanging locker storage Galley: Equipped with a gas cooker (oven/grill and 2 burner hob), 12v fridge, and stainless steel sink with pressurised hot/cold water. Heads: Separate heads forward fitted with Jabsco manual toilet and pull out washbasin. Shower: Separate fully enclosed shower in aft cabin with hot/cold pressurised water. 5. Key Inventory Additions Batteries: 2 x 115Ah batteries (one domestic, one engine start), both replaced in 2024. Navigation: Features a gimballed original compass, depth, and GPS. Wind speed/ direction. Warps and Fenders: Timolisa comes equipped with a full set of warps and covered fenders. Brass Fittings: Two brass gimbelled oil lamps in the saloon. Brass clock and brass barometer. Safety: Includes 2 manual bilge pumps, 2 fire extinguishers and gas alarm.
